At Risk Teens
In the summer of 2008 HOPE re-launched it's At-Risk-Teen program. We had 3 girls join our program in the summer, and four boys and three girls join our program in the fall. We have been receiving referrals and have been serving more at-risk-teens since. These children suffer from conditions such as bi-polar and ADHD which make it difficult for them to function in the "normal society". HOPE teaches them about discipline, structure, working as a team, taking instruction, and bonding with another living animal. Adding this program has been great for HOPE and we are enjoying the continued help we are giving to at-risk-teens.
